A team is a reflection of the characteristics of its members and the relationships among them.

Improving the vitality and effectiveness of your team requires an exploration of the characteristics of its members as well as an appreciation of the dynamics. So this is where we will start.

Every individual comes to their team with their own assumptions, goals, strengths, weaknesses, needs, and behavioral tendencies. These factors influence how they engage with other team members and contribute to the team’s dynamics.  Through open and judgement-free exploration, we help team members increase their awareness of themselves, their impacts on others, as well as the broader organisational dynamics.

How well the team performs will be a function of how well it leverages its members’ strengths and how well the members work together. This is the magic and minefield of teams: how to inclusively engage the team members, in all their diversity. And here, we are not speaking of the standard dimensions of diversity. Rather, teams need to work with all the psychological diversity that its members bring to it.
